How to Care for Your Wrap

The cloth is cared for by rinsing in cold water, then leaving to dry. If necessary, use a soft sponge and soap, but it is impossible to rub, because it damages the wax coating. The cloth should not be kept in heat and should not be left in direct sunlight. Do not keep raw meat and fish. The cloth keeps the product fresh and unfrozen, similar to plastic packaging. After about a year or two, depending on the intensity of use, it can be composted by cutting it into strips or restored with beeswax.

  • Do not use directly on raw meat, raw fish or pineapples.
  • Do not use in the microwave, dishwasher and do not line with a knife.
  • You can pasteurize and "renew" the cloth every few months simply by placing it in the oven. Take out the baking paper and place the cloth in a lined form on it, put it on the oven for 3-5 minutes at a temperature of 150°C.

How to Reuse Beeswax Wraps at Home

Oven Method

  1. Grate beeswax using a kitchen grater.
  2. Spread a piece of 100% cotton fabric on parchment paper, sprinkle grated wax evenly over the fabric, and place it in the oven.
  3. Heat at 150°C for 3-5 minutes until the wax melts. Spread it evenly using a brush.
  4. Remove from the oven and air dry for about 30 seconds until the wax hardens.

Iron Method

  1. Place your fabric between two sheets of parchment paper.
  2. Sprinkle grated beeswax evenly over the fabric.
  3. Use an iron set to a medium heat to melt the wax across the fabric.
  4. Peel off the top parchment layer and air dry the fabric until the wax sets.
